Chicken is one of the favorites in our house. We normally make chicken in the weekends and each weekend, we make something different. This recipe s very easy to make and tastes awesome. 



Spicy Chicken: chukka is pretty simple to make and delicious to taste.The color of this dish would totally depend upon the quality of the red chili powder or the use of food coloring. So it is totally your choice.

Step by step pictorial of the spicy chicken chukka recipe 

You need ingredients garam masala:


Ingredients:-

Chicken – 500 gms
Onions – 1 large
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tspn + 1/2 tspn(used while washing chicken)
Salt to taste
Water -1 cup
Oil – 2 tbspn

To make Chettinad masala powder-
Dried red chillies – 5-6 nos.
Coriander seeds – 1 tbspn
Black pepper corns – 1 tbspn
Fennel seeds – 1 tbspn
Cumin seeds – 1 tbspn












  • Add marinated chicken and tomato. Cook on low flame till done.
    Marinate for at least couple of                 hours or overnight



Recipe Notes

  • You can add in food coloring for bright red color if you prefer. 
  • The cooking time will vary according to the age and quality of the chicken. So please adjust accordingly.
